JP Morgan Chase announced a partnership with food delivery platform DoorDash to offer DashPass subscriptions to its Sapphire, Freedom and Slate cardholders. 

The DashPass subscription service allows consumers to make unlimited food orders for zero delivery fees and reduced service fees on orders of $12 or more.

"We are excited to partner nationwide with Chase and add our subscription service DashPass to their renowned list of credit card benefits, while growing our industry leading subscriber base," Keith Yandell, chief business & legal officer at DoorDash, said in a joint release. "This partnership will make ordering from our unmatched selection of restaurants even more rewarding and provide Chase customers with access to incredible deals they can only find on DoorDash."

Since launching in August 2018, DashPass is the leading food delivery subscription service in the industry, with about 1.5 million active customers. The service saves customers about $4-$5 per order and works with restaurants ranging from chains' like the Cheesecake Factory to local favorites like Portillo's in Chicago. 

"Across Chase branded cards, we've seen spending with food delivery more than double in the past year, with the majority of those cardmembers ordering-in on average once per month," Catherine Hogan, president of Chase Branded Cards, said in a joint release. "We're excited to team up with DoorDash to bring their industry leading selection of restaurants to our cardmembers with an added perk of making dining-in more rewarding."

To activate the offer, customers need to make an eligible Chase card the default card on the DoorDash app. The benefits include the following: 

Chase Sapphire Reserve and Preferred cardholders will have access to a one-year free DashPass membership, valued at more than $100

Chase Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Student and Slate cardmembers will get a free three-month DashPass membership, with 50% discount prices for the remaining nine months.
